ABS has very good mechanical properties, dimensional stability, processing ability, chemical resistance, and a high-quality appearance. These advantages make ABS resin an excellent engineering plastic. It has been widely used in manufacturing machinery, electronic components, electrical and home appliances, auto parts, medical products, food and water contact materials, construction materials, toys and sporting goods, and cosmetics containers.
MABS is a clear engineering thermoplastic that has excellent transparency, high impact strength, good stiffness and good resistance to chemicals. It offers good process ability, mechanical properties and dimensional stability. This material is suitable for manufacturing home electronics and appliances, medical equipment, food and water contact materials, and cosmetic containers.
It is also commonly known as AS Resin. It not only retains the transparency of GPPS, it also has greater chemical resistance and surface hardness. SAN Resin exhibits uniform glossiness, good heat resistance, rigidity and stability. SAN is widely used in transparent cosmetic packaging refrigerator trays, pens, disposable lighters, etc.
PC, a tough, transparent synthetic resin is employed in safety glass, eyeglass lenses, automotives, electrical lightings, etc. PC is a special type of polyester used as an engineering plastic owing to its exceptional impact resistance, tensile strength, ductility, dimensional stability, and optical clarity. Pre-coloured and FR compounds are widely applied in endless applications.
PC/ABS is a thermoplastic alloy of PC and ABS. It offers great impact resistance (even at low temps), high stiffness, easy processing, low shrinkage and high dimensional accuracy. PC/ABS is great for applications requiring high heat distortion temperatures and toughness.
ASA not only maintained main characteristics of the ABS, it also combines the weather resistance advantage of acrylic to extend the product application for outdoor purposes. The characteristics of weather resistance durability, colour stability have allowed ASA to become a broader and higher value resin that can be applied in automotive parts, construction parts, outdoor antenna parts, electronic and electrical products, toiletries, etc.
PS, a hard, stiff, brilliantly transparent synthetic resin produced by the polymerization of styrene. It is widely employed in the food-service industry as rigid trays and containers, disposable eating utensils, and foamed cups, plates, and bowls.
HIPS is composed of styrene monomer (SM) and butadiene (BD). HIPS is high impact resistant and non-transparent. It is suitable for home appliances, food and water contact materials, toys, and construction materials, especially appliance housings due to its excellent process ability.
PMMA features crystal-clear transparency and high gloss known for its excellent appearance. It also delivers stable physical, chemical, optical, and electrical properties. This material is widely used in the application of vehicle lights, watches, TV, sunglasses, food and water contact materials, cosmetics containers.
TPU is an elastomeric transparent polymer known for its excellent physical properties, easy-process and environmental protection. TPU is a melt-processable elastomer with high durability, flexibility providing physical and chemical property combinations. It can be processed on extrusion as well as injection, blow and compression moulding equipment. TPU is widely used in soft applications like mobile covers, luggage, textile coatings, wires & cables, breathable and calendaring films.
PA6 offers toughness, excellent impact and chemical resistance. Attributes abrasion resistance and self-lubrication in parts. Suitable for products that require strength, precision and anti-heat deflection.PA66 has good rigidity, hardness, abrasion resistance and thermal dimensional stability. In addition, nylon 66 has outstanding wear resistance and low frictional properties. It also has very good temperature, chemical, and impact propertiesAll Nylons can be reinforced with glass fibres, glass beads, and carbon fibre to improve their mechanical and thermal performance.
POM is used in precision parts requiring high stiffness, low friction, good dimensional stability and excellent resistance to oils, greases, and solvents. POM offers high strength, hardness and rigidity to −40 °C. It is intrinsically opaque white because of its high crystalline composition but can be produced in a variety of colours. Typical applications include high-performance engineering components such as small gear wheels, eyeglass frames, ball bearings, fasteners, and lock systems, etc. The material is widely used in the automotive and consumer electronics industry.
PBT is a crystalline, high molecular weight polymer with very good dimensional stability. It exhibits high heat & chemical resistance, higher tensile, flexural and dielectric strengths. Glass reinforced PBT increase tensile, flexural and compressive strengths substantially which is used in applications viz. electrical and small machine parts, owing to its excellent electrical resistance, surface finish, and toughness.
PET is a transparent polymer having strong, stiff synthetic fibre and resin polymer. PET is spun into fibres for permanent-press fabrics and blow-moulded into disposable beverage bottles. Bottle grade PET plays an important role in daily life. Other applications based on intrinsic viscosity range are Fiber grade, Tire cord, Film grade, Thermoforming, Monofilaments and Injection moulding, Food packaging, etc.
